scary scary

Post by john316 » Sun Aug 19, 2018 4:56 pm

sitting in my cave and listening to the wind howling up from the south. There are fires burning in many areas of NSW and one is too close for comfort to our little patch. The hills to the front of our place have disappeared behind a wall of smoke a couple of times today and the smell of smoke is hanging in the air. At the moment we are not in any danger but with the strong to gale force winds that is something that can change all too quickly. The irony is that its the middle of winter, freezing cold and there are out of control fires burning in the bush...

Must be time to go and sit by the fire - the one in the fireplace - and stay warm while hoping for the best outcome...

Not good John, it's just crazy having bushfires this time of year.
