Inovative sounder mount

Post by Novice » Sat May 02, 2015 9:38 pm

Saw this in a yak shop on the Goldy. Thought it was pretty cool. Its a removable pod for the sounder, transducer and it encloses the battery.

And the pod will fit in the front hatch.

Viking are doing similar concepts now to. I think for the application of kayak fishing sounders have to be easy to remove , the conditions they are subjected to are not as per normal and so warranty claims and so forth are more common , then they want the whole unit back to test , and whilst intricate pimp wiring looks fantastic , for ease of removal , not user friendly
