Hi chapos.
I sold my last yak a bit too prematurely it seems.

Getting ready for a stealth purchase, I didn't realise that there will be a wait for delivery and the best thing for me to do would be fly up to qld and check it out in person before putting a payment on the choice I want and waiting for it to be delivered.
Stupid me didn't even check if they had a store in Adelaide to buy them from before jetting my old ride.

after a sudden realisation I'd be spending all summer yakless, I just went and bought a Dace to get me through till the stealth can be dealt with.

Unpacked it this arvo, and I'm more than impressed with the build quality in what is essentially the cheapest kayak you can buy in Adelaide right now.

I'll get her out tomorrow if the wind doesn't pick up, otherwise - I'll let you know how it goes.

Tight lines.

It is heavy, but I can get it on my Navara Ste by myself.
I do it the same way as with my old cobra 5.5 meter.

Basically lift the front onto the back of the car, then lift the back and slide it on.
The only thing you need to remember is to ensure you have enough to space behind your car to sit the yak while you do it.

The cobra was 25kgs, this Ne is about 30:
The weight isn't really the issue. Once you get over 4.5 meters any weight at all will be hard to manage by yourself.

I carry a couple of rectangles of rubber-backed carpet to get around this. Rubber grips the car/roof racks and the yak slides over the carpet.
