Venue: Lake Macdonald, QLD.
Lowrance Navigation Day: Friday 24th October.
Anglers are allowed on the water in the grand final kayaks between 10:00am - 2:00pm. No angler is allowed on the water on Friday outside these times.
Navigation is so the anglers can familiarise themselves with the kayak they will be fishing out of for the event. There is strictly NO fishing at Lake Macdonlad on Friday 24th of October.
Registration 24th October from 5:00pm till 5:30pm.
Bring your Type 1 PFD and your current Queensland Stocked Impoundment Permit to the registration for inspection by the Event Staff.
Briefing: 5:30pm Friday. It is mandatory to attend the briefing.
Registration and Briefing Location

Session Times: This Grand Final will be a three session event over two days.
Start times will be advised at the briefing.
Session 1 Saturday the 25th of October Start TBA and finishing at 12:30pm
Session 2 Saturday the 25th of October Start 2:30pm and finishing 4:30pm
Session 3 Sunday the 26th of October Start TBA and finishing at 2:00pm

ABT Membership: ABT Membership
The Bass Series rules state that, "Competitors need to be ABT members to fish the Grand Final".
Launch Location: Lake Macdonald Park, Lake Macdonald Drive, Cooroy.
No Go Zones
Buoyed area near the Dam wall and pump tower.
Official Event Site: Lake Macdonald Park, Lake Macdonald Drive, Cooroy.
Prizes: Grand Final Winner will be granted a slot in Australian Fishing Championships (AFC) representing Team Hobie as well as sponsors packs and prizes.
Measuring your catch: A measuring device will be supplied for the event – Hobie will provide the anger with a measuring device that is to be used whilst taking pictures of their fish. All eligible fish mush be measured by the angler on the supplied measuring device alive and released in healthy condition immediately after photographing.
Tournament Dinner: There will be a tournament dinner on Saturday the 25th at the Cooroy Bowls Club consisting of a main dinner and some nibblies beforehand. Each angler will be given one ticket at the registration for the Saturday night tournament dinner as a part of their entry into the 2014 Hobie kayak Bass Series Grand Final. Anglers must purchase their own drinks. If any angler wishes to bring a partner or friend please notify Hobie media department by emailing your and you guests details so the booking can be amended in advance. Any extra guests that you will be bringing to the tournament dinner will be $35.00 per head, Hobie must be notified by the 22nd of October.

The Kayak: Hobie will provide the angler with a fitted out Hobie Pro Angler 14’ kayak with the following accessories.
• Lowrance Elite-5 CHIRP fish finder and Chartplotter.
• 12 volt battery and battery charger for fish finder.
• 1" Ram ball mounted in the mast tube for anglers to add personal recording devices.
• Hobie H-CRATE.
• Hobie Anchor trolley.
• Hobie Drift Chute.
• Twin Steering handles fitted.
• Two small Blue Plano boxes.
• Heavy Duty Carts
No other accessories or decals can be added to the kayak.
Don't Forget your
• Digital camera - Your camera must be able to take multiple pictures through the competition day.
• Removable memory card for camera. It is the only method of image transfer the organisers will accept. Smart phones not allowed.
• Fishing gear.
• Landing net.
• PFD Type 1.
• ABT membership card or number.
Anglers will be asked sign a check-out checklist when they are allocated their kayak on Friday between 9:30am and 10:00am.
This same checklist will be produced by Hobie staff to check-in the kayak and accessories when the boat is handed back over after the completion of the competition on Sunday. If there is any items damaged or missing the angler may incur charges. It is the responsibility of each competitor to ensure the supplied 12 volt fish finder battery is charged before they take the kayak on the water each day. After the allocation on Friday, the battery, charger, drift chute, Hobie H-CRATE and sounder are the responsibility of the angler for the duration of the event. The angler must take the Hobie H-Crate, fish finder head unit, battery and battery charger home with them on Friday and Saturday nights for security and charging.
