Sea Sherpa North shore Challenge 2018

Comp Poster.png

Ok folks we are all locked in for Portland again next year over Australia Day weekend. 25th -26th January 2018
The event will again be based at Henty Bay Beachfront Caravan Park with easy access to the fishing grounds of Minerva and Julia Reefs. If you let Henty know you are in the comp when you book accommodation they will do their best to place you close to the action (and the boat ramp!)

Competition briefing will take place on Thursday evening at 7pm (25 January 2018), with the competition fishing window on Friday morning 6.30am until 2pm (26 January 2018).
This year's event will be bigger and better than last year, Maz has again been busy rustling up sponsors and we have a prize pool of over $7000 up for grabs. We must look more legit second year round as we've had some big names come on board as sponsors
We have massive prize packs on offer in the main comp, each valued around $600, as well as other prizes and we will again be providing welcome packs.
We've gone through the feed back from NSC17 and made some changes; you can now pick your own teams, there are some more species added and we've tweaked a few of the rules, including the scoring to better reward hard earned tuna. The feedback has all been addressed in the comp FAQ section, and we've also packed heaps of extra info for newcomers to NSC. You can check it all out on the 2018 Competition Page or under the Tournaments tab on our website, but if you have any other questions, you can pm me here on the forum or post a message to the NSC Facebook page.
Hopefully this year the weather will play ball again and if we get a few extra degrees on the water temps, the kingies could be firing in close on the reef. It is worth coming down just to see the look on Mav's face when his Hobie loses to a Stealth!

If any of the guys up North want to make the trip down you are more than welcome, if you fancy flying down to Melbourne gimme a shout and I should be able to rustle up a ski for you to fish the comp. There's some great fishing to be had and it's a great chance to add a SBT to your tally.

Quick update, the first 20 spots are gone and early bird entry will close at the end of this month.
I've been slack getting the prize announcements out so here's what's up for grabs so far, I'll add one to this post each Monday for those not on Facebook, it won't be bumped, so just keep an eye here to see what's on offer as we get closer to the comp. Rumour has it team SA are going to have another crack to defend their wooden spoon. GAB is now officially living in Vic, so you guys can't even claim his efforts this year
